St Laurence's College is an all boys Catholic school centrally located in South Brisbane. With a rich and proud history of academic, sporting and cultural excellence, the school has grown to now educate over 1,900 boys.

In the Archdiocese of Brisbane and conducted in the tradition of Edmund Rice, St Laurence's College accepts students from Year 5 to 12, drawing from a wide area of Brisbane.

Summoned by the call of their motto: facere et docere: To do and to teach, St Laurence's College strives to implement the Charter for Catholic schools in the Edmund Rice Tradition to ensure it is the "lived reality" in the inclusive community.

Students are encouraged to pursue a balanced education which engages at the level of their learning readiness and also challenges them to pursue excellence as they act with integrity and justice. This authentic Catholic education aims to promote spiritual, moral, intellectual, emotional, physical, cultural and social aspects of life through the provision of a wide variety of faith experiences and academic, cultural, sporting and service opportunities.

The South Brisbane campus features outstanding facilities to promote effective learning with well-equipped classrooms, subject specialist laboratories, a modern 1,500 seat Performing Arts Centre, Chapel, rooftop-field, STEM-building and Sports Centre. The College also maintains nine playing fields and an outdoor education centre to enrich the learning outside of the classroom.

The 'Lauries Journey' is the journey that each boy takes at St Laurence's College which helps him grow from a boy into a young man.

The Lauries Journey seeks to ensure that every boy feels known and valued for being the person that he is. It seeks to equip him with the knowledge, skills and qualities to develop his character, deepen his faith, widen his friendships and strengthen his self-belief in his own potential. It seeks to establish good relationships because the best learning happens in the context of meaningful relationships.

St Laurence's College has a long, proud tradition of Old Boys who still see themselves to be on their Lauries Journey because of the significance of the relationships they experienced at school.

Teachers, parents and students work in partnership to promote a love of lifelong learning where a range of attributes are pursued.
