From Early Learning to Year 12, Moriah College students experience an exciting learning journey through which they’re encouraged to develop their unique skills and abilities to become future-ready, innovative young adults.

The College was established in 1943 by Abraham Rabinovitch, an extraordinary man with an extraordinary dream, envisaging a Jewish school in Sydney to rival any in the wider community – a school where every child, regardless of academic aptitude or financial standing, would have access to both an excellent general and comprehensive Jewish education.

Today, Moriah College Bondi Junction NSW is the largest Jewish school in the Southern Hemisphere and continues to grow and prosper. In the 2017 Higher School Certificate, Moriah College was ranked top Independent, Co-curricular school in NSW.

Our strategy advocates a growth mindset infused with optimism and resilience, inspiring students to think of themselves as having limitless potential, and by combining high quality academic studies with a wide range of co-curricular activities, we give our students every opportunity to differentiate and personalise their school experience to ensure progress and success.

At Moriah, our students feel supported and safe to express themselves, empowered with a drive for discovery by embracing Judaism within a Modern Orthodox Zionist framework that is woven into the fabric of each student’s identity. Our students are encouraged to develop an interest in their culture, an engagement with their heritage, and responsibility for members of their community.
At its core, Moriah College is about belonging.

Individuals flourish in a place where they feel they belong, and that sense of connection in our students and their families is paramount to the success of our children at school.

We all share the uplifting task of cultivating an inclusive and welcoming school culture where all people feel they belong irrespective of ability, or disability, cultural background, socio-economic status, gender, religiosity and observance. At Moriah, we all subscribe to a shared moral code that guides our behaviours and interactions with one another and this shared is articulated in our core values of kindness, integrity, respect, responsibility and commitment.

We live in a rapidly changing global economy, requiring our students to be innovative, creative, think critically and communicate well. We recognise that a strong foundation in English, Mathematics and other core subjects is as important as ever, yet by itself is inadequate for lifelong success. With a well-rounded curriculum integrating classroom teaching with experiential programs, STEM activities, The Arts, Music, Sport, Wellbeing initiatives, Community Service and Charity experiences, we’re encouraging students to be advocates for their own learning needs, exploring their interests and talents. Our safe, supportive learning environments focus on caring student-teacher relationships within which our passionate educators spark their students’ curiosity, ignite their passions and allow them to shine.
