A new Senior International Program for ESL students interested in academic-only schooling (no Performing Arts/Elite Tennis training) has been launched by The McDonald College in Sydney, with additional ESL support integrated into the student timetable.
Once enrolled in the program, students will study the New South Wales Australian Curriculum right through to the international credential of the NSW Higher School Certificate. English language assistance will also be provided in these classes through the school’s ESL program according to each individual student’s needs.
Unique to The McDonald College and in addition to the Australian Curriculum, students will be able to study carefully tailored English Language classes for two hours every day. These classes are in addition to the NSW Australian Curriculum and are designed to prepare English spoken language and writing abilities to assist with students’ secondary studies and higher education entry.
The McDonald College Senior International Program is the only program of its kind in Australia, with a dedicated ten hours per week of additional English language and literacy support offered to students.
The aim of the Senior International Program is to prepare international students for completion of the Higher School Certificate and prepare them for their journey toward their tertiary studies.
This program is over and above the normal tuition provided during the course of study to Higher School Certificate.
