Caroline Chisholm’s ‘walk through the clouds’

As part of its Science Week activities for 2018, Year 11 Chemistry students at Caroline Chisholm Catholic College in Victoria used dry ice to turn the food tech rooms into a ‘walk through the clouds’ experience.

The idea was conceived by Head of Learning (Science), Marnie Bates, giving students the opportunity to experience the wonders of science and imagine what it would be like to walk on the clouds.

Ms Bates said students loved the opportunity to participate in the activity; and hoped that enabling students to celebrate science in such a fun way would help to encourage them to seek out careers in science and realise the many career opportunities available.

The walk through the clouds formed part of Caroline Chisholm Catholic College’s week long program for Science Week, which ran from 11-19 August and culminated in a Year 7 Science Fair.
